Remodel Finished!!!

Ok so if you didn't see the worst of the demo it is down below a few posts, but these pics of the new sheetrock on to the finished room.
LOTs of mud went up in this room.....

I've nicknamed him "VON VILLA" and I think he could have his own show on TLC.

ok so these got a little out of order, but you get the idea. Grandpa les helped put in the countertops, sink, dishwaser, and disposal and a bunch of other stuff....he's the bomb!

Aren't those cool floors. Click in laminate! they rock!!! if you look at the other pics with sage you can see just how yucky the others were before.
our new fridge, it's about 15X the size of the other one, we are still missing the cabinet that goes over it, it will go up this weekend.

And that is that, we have a bunch of little stuff to do to finish up but this is pretty much the end now. Special thanks to all our family and friends that helped with their time, energy, love and giftcards!!!! WE couldn't have done it without you.

Remodel Madness!!!!

OK so Von's a maniac. He is remodeling the whole interior of our living room and kitchen over Christmas break. And when I say the whole thing I mean it. Here are the pics we have so far. They gutted it and are now in the process of putting it all back together. These first few are of the house with the furniture removed and nothing has been done yet so you can see the before and after.

Now they are starting to remove trim. As you can see from the camera lense things are starting to get dusty but this is nothing compared to what it was at the worst.

This is David....he is awesome, I called him the Termite because he destroyed our entire house in about a day and a half. Our house was built in 1917 and so there was not sheetrock. They just nailed these little 1 inch slats to the 2X4's and then plastered over it so here you can see david knocking down the plaster with a shovel.

Now that the plaster is down they started to remove the lats.

Then the really fun part was they got up in the attic, pulled back the insulation and knocked out the whole ceiling. It was gross to see what accumulates in your walls after 100 or so years.

This is looking from my front door into what used to be my kitchen.

This is the beginning of sheetrock, you can see they have done the whole ceiling and are starting on the walls.



As of yesterday the whole room and been sheetrocked and mudded and is in the process of drying. I will add more pics later, it is looking much more like a room now, and less like a disaster zone.
